This is an announcement to all the students and alumni of the University of Zakho. 

The Career Development Centre CDC at the University of Zakho and incorporation with the (AVP) organization are going to set several workshops entitled The Alternatives to Violence. The Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) is a voluntary training program that helps participants deal with conflict and violence by focusing on inner peace in new and creative ways. The program draws from the shared experience of participants, using interactive exercises and activities, discussions, games, and role-plays to examine the ways we respond to situations where injustice, prejudice, frustration, and anger can lead to aggressive behavior and violence. 

Each workshop takes three full days (9 am-5 pm) with a facilitation team of 3-4. 

It is worth mentioning that, the workshop will start in June and will last for three days (15th, 16th, 17th). 

Only 20 students will be chosen and the rest of the names will remain with the organization and will be chosen for future workshops. 

The transportation fees and meals are on the organization. 

Place: the presidency of the University of Zakho,  third floor, CDC center.

The deadline is on Thursday, June 10th, 2021 at 11:00 P.M
